Governance for Early Years in Nursery Schools and Primary Schools
Governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and have an important part to play in raising school standards. The role of the Governing Board is absolutely key to the effectiveness of a school. Ofsted has continually noted that the most effective schools demonstrate effective leadership and management, including that of the Governing Board.

These sessions will be of specific relevance to governing bodies within Maintained Nursery Schools, Primary and Infant Schools. Dates and contents to follow. Professional Development Network Meetings for EYFS Staff, Teachers, NQT’s and HLTA’s
A unique opportunity for Senior Early Years Workers, Teachers, NQT’s, Managers, Owners, and HLTA’s to meet at one of the NNSP’s Outstanding Nurseries biannually and engage, network, share and swap ideas with other professionals from across the county.
Each meeting has a theme and is a platform for practitioners to be involved in discussions around this theme along with current issues within the Early Years Foundation Stage. These sessions will also offer an opportunity to view the Outstanding Nursery without children present; therefore photographs of the environment can be taken.
